Swiss athletics brand On is making substantial strides towards its sustainability goals, as revealed in its 2022 Impact Progress Report. The company increased its use of recycled polyester in products to 85%, with a target of achieving 100% recycled polyester and polyamide by 2024. Notably, On has reduced CO2eq emissions per unit of value added by 12% since setting its goals in 2019. Looking ahead, On aims for a 46% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and a 55% economic intensity reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030. While it acknowledges some lag in meeting its Scope 3 emissions target, the brand is making progress, with 99% of its impact tied to Scope 3 emissions. In 2022, On saw 30% of its materials across all product categories being fossil-free, with apparel and accessories leading at 64%. The increased use of recycled materials significantly contributed to a decrease in Scope 3 emissions.
