Lewisville’s Motor City Pizza is embracing artificial intelligence with a unique menu addition crafted by the renowned chatbot, ChatGPT. The restaurant specialises in Detroit-style pizza, known for its rectangular shape and deep-dish nature, but with a lighter touch than its Chicago counterpart. While offering traditional toppings, owner Greg Tierney also likes to explore innovative options. Regular customer Winston Edmondson, who frequently pitches his ideas to Tierney, struggled to bring his vision of a pizza featuring elotes (grilled Mexican street corn) to life. Turning to AI, they described their desired taste sensations, and ChatGPT produced a recipe that impressed both Edmondson and Tierney. After a few adjustments, the pizza, named “Winston’s Elote” or “Textrano Amore,” made it onto the menu. The finishing touch, as directed by ChatGPT, is a garnish of fresh lime wedges to enhance the flavor. Tierney plans to keep it on the menu as long as there is demand, while Edmondson dreams of a future partnership involving a rotating AI-inspired menu.
