China is on its way to establishing a gigantic supply chain network, allowing global retailers to sell products to customers via local suppliers. JD.com, one of the biggest Chinese e-commerce company, has strategically invested $100 million in Li & Fung, Asia’s biggest Hong Kong-based supply chain management company. As per the most recent speculations, new offers will be made at $0.16 each. The Fung’s will retain their control over the company as they will continue to hold 60% of the voting share.
