Hostess Brands, Inc. has highlighted its achievements in product nutrition and environmental preservation in its 2022–23 Corporate Responsibility Report titled “Inspiring Moments of Joy with Transparency and Progress.” The company has focused on launching low- and no-sugar snacks under the Voortman brand and reducing water usage by 2.5% and 4.2% in total and normalised terms, respectively. It has also removed the tin tie from Donettes packaging. Hostess’ acquisition of an Arkansas production facility will allow for its transformation into a sustainable “bakery of the future.” The company has prioritised developing products without high-fructose corn syrup, artificial flavours, and colours, as well as implementing portion control. It has pledged not to advertise to children under 13, except for products compliant with the Children’s Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative’s Uniform Nutrition Criteria. Hostess has also partnered with SeeHer to promote accurate portrayals of women and girls in marketing. The report reflects the company’s commitment to corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement.
