A Japanese restaurant, called E Vino Spaghetti, has a robot, P-Robo, that pumps out one pasta per minute. It was created by Tokyo startup TechMagic in three and a half years. The restaurant is owned by Pronto, which has 300 restaurants under its name and deploys 50 robots from TechMagic across them. The P-Robo operates quickly and prepares the sauces, heats the noodles, combines them all in a spinner, and then delivers the meal down along a conveyor belt to the plating station. It also washes and cleans the bowls. This venture has led TechMagic to acquire a patent for its pasta-making robot and raise $23 million in funding.
