With its startup engagement programme, the innovation and venture hub of Mondelez, SnackFutures is trying to support disruptive snack brands. The programme, named CoLab, is in its third year and focuses on startups that are working innovatively on flavours, experience, sustainability, and packaging. SnackFutures’ ethos of “good for people, kind to the planet, and deliciously fun.” must be followed by the participants. They should also be based in the US and make at least $1 million in revenue while following Mondelez International’s innovation priorities. The initiative provides workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and hands-on experience, as well as tools, technologies, and access to company leadership and industry expertise. It allows Mondelez to gain insights, capabilities, and potential investment opportunities. Some brands that have participated previously include Bunny James Boxes, Every Body Eat, GoNanas, Moonshot, Nunbelievable, Oat Haus, Pan’s, Popcorn for the People, Wonder Monday, Yolélé, Better Bites Bakery etc.
