PepsiCo to upgrade its sustainable fleet with Tesla semi trucks

The Tesla Semi has been one of the company’s most delayed products, with PepsiCo being the first client with 100 vehicles it pre-ordered. Pepsi is using the new electric trucks to carry Frito-Lay goods up to 425 miles from its Modesto, California, factory on a single charge. In collaboration with the California Air Resources Board, PepsiCo is upgrading the plant to showcase the sustainability benefits of zero and near-zero emissions technology. The Tesla Semis are the most recent additions to the company’s fleet of over 80,000 vehicles.
