Nestle has decided to expand its cat food plant at Blaney at an expenditure of 90 million dollars. This plant was established in 2014 and will produce products for brands like Felix, Fancy Feast, Pro Plan, and Purina One. The expansion would allow an increase in single-serve wet cat food by over 120 percent as well as the dry cat and dog food. Most of the ingredients are sourced locally. The move is slated to make Nestle a top supplier in New Zealand, Thailand, and Japan. Over 200 million dollars have been spent on Blaney in the past.
