The Kraft Heinz Company has embraced UNFI Insights, an open data platform from United Natural Foods (UNFI) and Crisp, providing sales, inventory, and deduction data to UNFI suppliers. This platform, accessed through the MyUNFI.com supplier portal, furnishes value-added insights for marketing and merchandising efforts, including category suggestions, voids, and deduction dashboards. The move supports Kraft Heinz’s commitment to a central data hub for digital transformation, driving category growth and informed decisions. The initiative is expected to minimise out-of-stocks, improve retail and consumer experiences, and address food waste concerns by monitoring short-dated inventory. UNFI aims to enhance supplier connectivity and visibility, ultimately elevating service levels in a competitive market.
