Clorox has upgraded its 20-year old enterprise resource planning (ERP) to a cloud-based system and made supply chain investments. It is in a bid to modernise the workforce by building capabilities through removing manual processes and standardising work. The move aims to improve the search for consumer demands, reduce inventories and costs, and support the company’s cost-savings program. Consumer forecasting frequency has been increased for better consumer signals. The $500 million digital transformation includes adding capabilities across the supply chain, demand creation, and innovation. According to the company, this development would help it stay current with the world.
