Under Armour invests in its DTC channel to boost sales

Under Armour’s revenue increased by 3% in the third quarter, with wholesale revenue increasing by 7% and direct-to-consumer sales decreasing by 1%. Inventory increased by 50% in the quarter, but the majority of it is current, and Under Armour intends to pack and retain part of it until next year. Under Armour will host a pop-up shop in New York’s Flatiron District next week to highlight its lifestyle positioning. Under Armour is investing in its own DTC and has a location in New York to showcase its brand.
