Fifth Season is the first vertical farming company to offer ready-to-eat salad kits at over 1,200 sites across 12 states. In Braddock, Pa., the firm maintains a 60,000-square-foot fully-automated vertical farm. Crops are cultivated under ideal circumstances using robots and AI, taking light, water, and even “wind” into account, so they stay beautifully crisp and tasty all year. Fifth Season salads are currently accessible in over 1,200 supermarkets. In Columbus, Ohio, the business has revealed intentions to establish a second completely automated farm. Salads are now packaged in 100% recyclable Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic. PET plastic emits less carbon dioxide than glass or metal.
